The Opportunity
A GLP toxicology research center in Singapore has an opportunity for a talent toxicology laboratory manager to join them and lead a strong bioresearch team. The group focuses on in vivo rodent toxicology research. You will be part of the team to develop a next generation of lifestyle consumer products that will have far reaching impact.

This is a senior management role that reports directly to the site’s general manager where you represent the Bioresearch team, focusing on both tactical and strategic decisions within the research center. You are the facility manager to will ensure site compliance to GLP requirements and deputies as the acting general manager. You will be working closely study directors and other stakeholders from veterinarian, histopathology, and quality team to ensure facilitate smooth running and accurate data collection. 

From a people management aspect, you will be leading and motivating your group of over 30 FTEs to ensure delivery of high quality toxicology data. This includes 2 managers and 4 teams of technicians working in animal treatment, dissection, histoprocessing and bioanalytical groups. Providing the overall leadership, you set the tone for high performance and ensure that the group’s developmental needs are met. 

Operationally, you will be managing a sizeable operational budget to optimize resource allocation for in vivo studies which includes: scope, resources, budget, timelines & risks; update & maintenance of study-related equipment and systems; and development & implementation of new equipment, systems, assays and methods.

What is needed from you?
Candidate should possess a recognized DVM and specializing in laboratory animal medical or possess a PhD holder in related field of toxicology or life sciences. Diplomates from ACLAM or ECLAM would be highly relevant for this position

Professionally, you would have possessed at least 8 years of leadership experience in an industry setting with extensive experience in GLP in vivo models establishment environment. You are adept in operating within a matrix environment and capably of building multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in high quality standards and requirements of OECD GLP, AAALAC, AVA would critical.
